WHAT ARE GIFT BASKETS
Where is the
origin of the basket?
Since the
birth of humans, humans have woven grass, straw, branches and branches to
create baskets. The early use of the basket was to store dry goods and
transport food and materials. In the Biblical era, larger baskets were used to
transport people and goods on the water. Always a useful, sturdy container, it
is a human tool for tens of thousands of years.
The first
American gift basket
When
Mayflower landed on the coast of the United States, European settlers ushered
in the first gift baskets. Dried fish and meat, corn, beans and other
vegetables have been introduced to settlers by the Amerindians to welcome them.
In the 1700s and 1800s, individuals created baskets filled with fruit, food and
sweets for Christmas, Easter and other holidays. Today's gift baskets are for
individual recipients' holidays, special occasions or "just for"
gifts. Now, fruit, food, and candy are shared in the gift basket, providing
"usable" items for babies, bathrooms, kitchens, or play. The basket
or box itself is designed to be creatively used once they enjoy the contents of
the gift basket.
Corporate gift basket
This gift
basket category is becoming more and more popular every year. Enterprises sent
to their customers say "Thank you" or say "Happy Holidays."
Many companies introduced them to their employees in recognition of their work
well done, anniversary, the arrival of new baby or holiday gifts.
